ABOUT
In the early 1990s, the museum came upon hard times financially as Johnson County struggled with a declining economy. In an effort to assist, a group of community-minded individuals formed the Gatchell Museum Association, Inc. The GMA mission is to raise money and contribute financially to the museum’s operations.
Today the Gatchell Museum Association, Inc., is a private non-profit organization and offers membership with benefits of discounts in the museum store, museum admission tickets, and subscription to the quarterly magazine, the Sentry.

GMA BOARD
A dedicated group of volunteers with the directive to manage, grow, and distribute funds to the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum, and to promote the goals and objectives of the museum.

Membership to the GMA comes in different levels take a look below to see which is the best fit. Membership benefits include a reduced admission rate to the Museum, store discounts, subscription to the Sentry and much more.
Level 1
INDIVIDUAL/STUDENT — $40 (renewable annually)
- Free admission for a full year for cardholder
- 15% museum store discount for cardholder
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
Level 2
FAMILY/GRANDPARENTS — $65 (renewable annually)
- Free year admissions for cardholder(s) and accompanying dependents and grandchildren
- 15% museum store discount for cardholder(s)
- Four one-time use guest passes
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
Note: cardholder must be present and the discount is only for cardholders(s)
Level 3
SUSTAINER — $200 (renewable bi-annually)
- Two adult membership cards
- Free two year admission for cardholders and accompanying guests
- 20% museum store discount for cardholders
- 10 one-time guest passes
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
Note: cardholder must be present and the discount is only for cardholders(s)
Level 4
BUSINESS — $350 (renewable annually)
- Free year admissions for business and employees (membership card must be presented)
- 20% museum store discount for business and employees (membership card must be presented)
- 12 one-time use guest passes
- Recognition on the GMA website
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
Level 5
PATRON LIFETIME — $1,200 Individual
- Laminated membership card with unlimited free admissions
- Free admissions for cardholder and guests
- 25% museum store discount for cardholder(s) and guests
- Special invitations to pre-openings and special exhibits
- Recognition given on plaque in the museum
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
Note: membership card must be presented by cardholder or guests
Level 6
PATRON LIFETIME — $2,000 Couple
- Laminated membership card with unlimited free admissions
- Free admissions for cardholder and guests
- 25% museum store discount for cardholder(s) and guests
- Invitations to pre-openings and special events
- Recognition given on plaque in the museum
- Quarterly subscription to the Sentry
